Jobs

To work in the UK you should obtain a National Insurance number and y a bank account to pay your wages into.

To apply for a National Insurance number call Jobcentre Plus on 0845 600 0643, they may require you to attend an 'Evidence of identity' interview

What to expect at the 'Evidence of identity' interview

The interview will usually be one-to-one (unless you need an interpreter). You will be asked questions about why you need a National Insurance number and your background.
Take as many 'identity documents' (originals, not photocopies) as you can to your interview, e.g Passport, Identity card, Driving License, Birth or wedding certificate.

If you have qualifications you should also have these translated into English.

There are minimum wage levels in the UK and if you are over 21 you should not be paid less than £6.08 per hour – see the rates here –

You are entitled to 5.6 weeks of paid holidays per year, not including public holidays

If you are looking for professional / office jobs then it would be worth registering your CV with Monster or Total jobs, once you register you are likely to be approached by many agencies the next day.

If you are looking for more manual type jobs you should look for agencies in your locality or sites such as
